Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives, developing and deploying algorithms that improve operations and customer satisfaction. You will own end-to-end ML projects, from ideation to production, and mentor junior engineers.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply best practices, evaluate models, and push for innovative approaches that scale across our nationwide driver-assistance platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years software development and design experience.
• 3–5 years working with machine learning systems.
• 3–5 years of experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years experience in Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building large, complex systems, including web services and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure best practices in ML, including evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay current with ML advancements to propose new approaches.
