Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance ML initiatives, developing and deploying cutting-edge models to enhance operations and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes end-to-end project leadership, collaboration with diverse teams, and staying ahead of ML advancements for continuous improvement.

The position offers a strong technical path with opportunities to mentor others and influence product-level ML strategies across a national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Math, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in software development and design.
• 3–5 years building ML systems.
• 3–5 years using AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years Python experience (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow, and SQL is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to ML best practices, including evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay abreast of ML advances and recommend new approaches.
