Job summary

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Agero will play a crucial role in advancing our ML initiatives, building and deploying state-of-the-art algorithms to improve operations and customer outcomes. You will guide projects from concept through production, collaborating with product, data, and software teams to deliver scalable ML solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, stay abreast of new ML techniques, and ensure best practices in evaluation, validation, and monitoring while contributing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3–5 years software development and design experience.
• 3–5 years experience with Machine Learning systems.
• 3–5 years experience with AWS (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years Python (Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building web services, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD.
• Tree-based models, DVC, Airflow and/or SQL is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, feasibility analyses, and scalable solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to model evaluation, validation, and monitoring best practices.
• Drive innovation and mentor junior team members while staying current with ML advances.
