Job summary

Agero is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML initiatives and deploy cutting-edge algorithms that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will own end-to-end ML projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years with ML systems, strong Python, and deep AWS experience. Occasional travel for onboarding is possible; base salary is competitive with national ranges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in software development and design.
• 3–5 years experience with Machine Learning systems.
• 3–5 years experience with AWS services (ECR, S3, SageMaker).
• 5+ years of Python experience (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience building web services, RESTful APIs, CI/CD.
• Familiarity with tree-based models, DVC, Airflow, and SQL is nice to have.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Motivated to understand data nuances and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ML models and algorithms to optimize operations and service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead full lifecycle of ML projects from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure best practices in ML including evaluation, validation, and monitoring.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in ML applications and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay abreast of ML advancements to recommend improvements.
