Job summary

Redpath is seeking a Lead Electrician to supervise and perform electrical installation, testing and repair in surface and underground mining operations. You will mentor junior electricians and ensure compliance with Redpath policies, SOPs and safety regulations.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, ability to work long hours, and competence with electrical drawings, PLCs and control systems. If you have mining experience and a safety-first mindset, this is a challenging opportunity.

Qualifications

• 4-year related graduation in university, college, or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' electrician experience in underground mining environment.
• Supervisory and training experience.
• Must have a valid State Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Proficient in computers and associated software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, disassemble, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment.
• Provide supervision, training, guidance and mentoring to less experienced electricians.
• Ensure workers are qualified and safe to perform assigned work.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance to underground sub-stations and electrical panels.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics; ensure adherence to NFPA70E and regulations.
