Hudbay is seeking a Senior Short-Term Planning Superintendent for the Copper World project in Arizona. You will lead mine planning, scheduling, and ore control, ensuring safe and economical plans while coordinating with the project team and management.

You will oversee a planning group, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvements in planning processes, with oversight of safety and environmental standards on site.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering (required).
• Post-graduate degree is a strong asset.
• Minimum of ten years in mine engineering in open pit operations, with at least three years in senior supervisory role.

Responsabilidades

• Develop detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Lead ore control and stockpile management.
• Supervise and develop the mine planning team.
• Ensure plans are practical, economical, and compliant with standards.
• Manage the mine planning budget.
• Support Copper World Integrated project.
• Provide regular reports to the Principal Engineer and management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in mine planning.
• Assess and control risks for all tasks.
• Adhere to Hudbay’s Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Foster a safety-focused culture in Mine Planning.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
