Job summary

Hudbay is seeking a Short-Term Planning Superintendent to lead and optimize mine planning and scheduling for our Copper World project in Arizona. You will oversee detailed daily to monthly production plans, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while directing a skilled team of mine planners and engineers.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree; a post-graduate degree is considered a strong asset.
• Ten years of proven experience in mine engineering in open pit operations, with at least three years in senior supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for the mine.
• Lead and develop a team of mine planners and engineers.
• Oversee ore control, stockpiles, and grade reconciliation with geological models.
• Ensure plans meet safety, regulatory, and budget requirements.
• Communicate status and performance to management and stakeholders.
