Job summary

CRH is seeking a Mine Engineer to provide technical support for surveying, planning, and permit readiness. Responsibilities include conducting drone and traditional surveys, preparing phased mine plans, and using CAD and planning software for overburden, reserves, and exploration projects.

Occasional travel and night/weekend work may be required. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mine Engineering or Geology with 3+ years related experience, proficiency in Windows/Microsoft Office, and ability to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Geology, or equivalent.
Three years related experience preferred.
Experience with land surveying instruments and mine planning software preferred.
Proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Conduct inventory surveys using drone and traditional surveying methods.
Survey various boundaries, limits, and topography for mine planning and property management.
Prepare phased short, medium, and long term mine plans for operations management.
Use mine planning software for engineering projects such as overburden stripping plans and reserve estimation.
Promote and utilize technology that could affect costs, safety, and sustainability of mining.
Serve on subcommittees to improve standards across CRH.
