Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Data Protection and Privacy architect to lead Microsoft Purview initiatives across enterprise environments in the United States. You will translate business and regulatory needs into practical architecture, governance, and implementation plans, guiding teams and client discussions along the way.

The role spans data protection, privacy, security, and AI governance, with opportunities to shape strategies, engage stakeholders, and advance toward lead architect

Qualifications

• Experience designing Microsoft Purview in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to translate business, legal, privacy, regulatory, and security requirements into architecture.
• Lead defined workstreams, facilitate client discussions, and produce high‑quality solution designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Purview workstreams: discovery, requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment planning, transition.
• Design and support Purview capabilities: Information Protection, labeling, DLP, data lifecycle, records & insider risk management.
• Develop data governance, protection, and retention strategies aligned to legal and business needs.
• Support security and privacy assessments, architecture reviews, and roadmaps.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews across security, privacy, legal, and business teams.
• Translate requirements into solution architectures, backlogs, user stories, and test scenarios.
• Create architecture diagrams, reference patterns, and implementation guidance.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to proposal development.
