Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior in Data Protection and Privacy to serve as a Microsoft Purview architect. You will lead Purview workstreams, translate regulatory and business requirements into governance architectures, and guide security and privacy initiatives across enterprise environments.

You will collaborate with clients to design and implement data protection, privacy, and AI governance solutions, leveraging the Microsoft Security stack and related services.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data protection, information governance, privacy, compliance, and security concepts.
• Practical experience designing or implementing Microsoft Purview capabilities in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to connect technical platform features to business, legal, privacy, regulatory, and operational outcomes.
• Ability to lead discovery sessions, workshops, design discussions, demonstrations, and working sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead defined Microsoft Purview workstreams, including discovery, requirements gathering, design, configuration guidance, testing, deployment planning, and operational transition.
• Design and support Microsoft Purview capabilities such as Information Protection, sensitivity labeling, DLP, Data Lifecycle Management, Records Management, Insider Risk Management, and more.
• Develop data classification, information protection, retention, DLP, insider risk, and data governance strategies aligned to laws and business needs.
• Support security and privacy assessments, architecture reviews, maturity assessments, and governance frameworks.
• Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder interviews across security, privacy, legal, compliance, and data governance teams.
• Translate business and control requirements into solution architectures, design decisions, and backlogs with measurable outcomes.
• Create architecture diagrams, reference patterns, and implementation guidance for stakeholders.
• Support integration of Purview with Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, Azure, Fabric, and Microsoft 365.
