Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Data Protection and Privacy professional to guide Microsoft Purview initiatives across complex enterprise environments. You will design, implement, and govern data protection, privacy, and security controls, translating regulatory requirements into pragmatic architectures and roadmaps.

You will mentor teams, lead workshops, and coordinate with legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure governance and risk mitigation across data platforms and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data protection, information governance, privacy, compliance, and security concepts.
• Practical experience designing or implementing Microsoft Purview capabilities in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to connect technical platform features to business, legal, privacy, regulatory, and operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Microsoft Purview workstreams including discovery, requirements gathering, design, configuration guidance, testing, deployment planning, and transition.
• Design and support Purview capabilities such as information protection, labeling, and data lifecycle management.
• Develop data governance strategies aligned to business objectives, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support security, privacy assessments, architecture reviews, and roadmaps.
• Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder interviews across security, privacy, legal, compliance, records, and data governance.
• Translate requirements into solution architectures, implementation backlogs, and measurable outcomes.
• Create architecture diagrams, reference patterns, and implementation guidance.
• Support integration of Purview with Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, Azure, and Microsoft 365 services.
• Contribute to data security and AI governance initiatives involving sensitive data used by AI and analytics platforms.
• Provide technical direction to implementation resources and review deliverables for quality.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute reusable assets and delivery methods.
• Maintain awareness of product developments, privacy requirements, and emerging data security and AI risks.
