Job summary

EY in the United States seeks a Senior data protection and privacy architect to guide Microsoft Purview implementations across large enterprises. You will translate business, legal, privacy, regulatory, and security requirements into practical architectures and governance frameworks.

Lead workstreams, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with security, compliance, and technology teams to deliver measurable outcomes while staying current with Microsoft product developments and AI governance risks.

Qualifications

• Experience translating business, legal, privacy and security requirements into architecture and governance.
• Senior consulting professional who can lead defined workstreams and client discussions.
• Experience with enterprise privacy, data protection regulations, and risk management.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to delivery assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead defined Purview workstreams from discovery to deployment planning and transition.
• Design and support Purview capabilities including Information Protection, labeling, DLP, lifecycle, and data governance.
• Develop data classification, retention, and data governance strategies aligned to business and legal needs.
• Support security and privacy assessments, architecture reviews, and roadmaps.
• Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder interviews across security, privacy, legal and IT teams.
• Translate requirements into solution designs, backlogs, user stories, and test scenarios.
• Create architecture diagrams, reference patterns, and implementation guidance.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute reusable assets and proposals.
