Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Crete, IL is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor for Microbiology to oversee multiple departments at the Crete Analytical Laboratory. You will ensure accurate, efficient operations aligned with SOPs, quality standards, and client requirements, while leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement.

You will mentor supervisors and staff, manage performance against KPIs, and coordinate with QA to sustain audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of relevant experience including 2+ years in leadership.
• Master's degree with 3+ years relevant experience including 2+ years in leadership is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more operational departments (e.g., Microbiology, Chemistry) ensuring activities are accurate, efficient and compliant with SOPs, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Bridge site management and department supervisors; drive process optimization and leadership development to meet regional business objectives.
• Lead cross-site initiatives on standardization, technology implementation and efficiency improvement; promote ethical leadership and collaboration.
