Job summary

Mérieux NutriSciences is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor - Microbiology for our Crete, IL site. The role oversees multiple laboratory operations, ensures compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and client requirements, and drives process optimization across departments.

The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams, mentor supervisors, manage KPIs, and coordinate with QA to sustain audit readiness while implementing new equipment and methods in alignment with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, including 2 years in leadership.
• Proven success in leading process improvements and managing KPIs.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems and audit principles (ISO 17025 etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-site initiatives focused on standardization and efficiency.
• Coach and develop supervisors and staff to strengthen leadership and engagement.
• Drive standardization of processes across teams to improve quality and throughput.
• Provide advanced technical guidance to supervisors on complex operational challenges.
• Collaborate with QA to monitor audit readiness and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee equipment, methods, and system implementations to meet compliance.
