Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Crete, IL seeks an Operations Manager – Chemistry to lead food chemistry testing laboratories. You will align lab operations with business goals, regulatory standards, and client expectations, ensuring analytical accuracy and efficient workflows.

You will oversee method validation, staff development, budgeting, and performance metrics, while driving Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and digital data reporting across chemistry disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in food chemistry laboratory operations, including leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for food chemistry testing laboratories.
• Align operations with regulatory requirements and client expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement and data integrity across chemistry disciplines.
• Oversee budgeting, KPI management, and cross-functional team leadership.
• Support client audits, regulatory inspections, and method transfers.
