Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES Crete Analytical Laboratory in Crete, IL, is seeking an Operations Supervisor, Microbiology to lead daily lab activities and supervise a team of technicians. You will oversee routine analyses of food samples, ensure SOP compliance, and coordinate with client service to meet turnaround times.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (microbiology/chemistry) with 2–5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of LIMS, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of relevant work experience or Master's degree.
• Broad knowledge of microbiology or chemistry to analyze data accurately.
• General knowledge of food science to supervise the analysis of samples.

Responsibilities

• Supervise departmental personnel to ensure operations align with SOPs and tasks.
• Communicate emerging client requirements to laboratory personnel as needed.
• Read, calculate and record analysis data to produce client reports; correct discrepancies.
