MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Crete, IL, seeks an Operations Supervisor, Chemistry to lead daily lab analysis and supervise personnel. You will ensure SOP compliance, manage client communications, and maintain data integrity across reports.

The role requires microbiology/chemistry knowledge, lab safety awareness, and experience with LIMS. A Bachelor's or Master's degree with 2–5 years of relevant work is preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant work experience or Masters degree.
• Broad knowledge of microbiology or chemistry, usually from degree or related job experience.
• General knowledge of food science to supervise the analysis of the sample.

Mansioni

• Supervise the activities of departmental personnel to ensure operations follow SOPs and tasks.
• Communicate client requirements to laboratory personnel as needed.
• Read, calculate and record analysis data to produce client reports and correct discrepancies.
• Administer HR programs relating to recruitment, retention, compensation and training.
• Educate and train personnel on procedures and new analysis methods; evaluate and modify methods as needed.
• Arrange and document work schedules to complete analyses accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain supplies and instrumentation; assist personnel to ensure timely results.
• Maintain knowledge of LIMS and ensure staff are trained to use it.
• Cease analyses when recommended by quality systems to prevent non-conforming results.
