Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences is seeking an Operations Manager, Chemistry in Crete, IL to lead and align chemistry laboratory operations with business goals. You will drive strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and ensure KPI-driven performance across sites, while upholding ISO 17025 and safety standards.

The role requires extensive experience in food chemistry lab operations, cross-functional leadership, and a proven track record in optimizing analytical workflows and instrumentation utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in food chemistry lab operations, including at least 4 years in leadership or multi-department management.
• Experience overseeing analytical platforms (e.g., HPLC, GC, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, titration systems).
• Proven success managing lab budgets, KPIs, and cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.
