Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Principal Program Manager to lead a multibillion-dollar megaprogram delivering a major interstate bridge and corridor improvements across multiple states.

You will provide executive-level guidance to agencies, coordinate with DOTs, FHWA, and others, and drive delivery across planning, design, and construction while mentoring staff and shaping national infrastructure outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field(s).
• Professional engineering license or equivalent PMP/PgMP certification.
• Minimum 10 years of program management with 4+ years as a Senior Program Manager.
• Experience leading megaprograms or large-scale infrastructure of national/regional significance.
• Ability to travel regularly and manage multi-jurisdictional programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for a multibillion-dollar infrastructure effort across states.
• Guide governance with DOTs, FHWA, FTA, USCG and other regulators.
• Direct planning, design, procurement, and construction phases for bridge and corridor projects.
• Coordinate multi-agency teams and stakeholder engagement in a high-visibility environment.
• Apply best practices in risk management, environmental permitting, and delivery models.
