Job summary

Core & Main in St. Louis seeks a Mega Projects Estimator for Water/Wastewater treatment plants within the Critical Infrastructure Group. You will develop accurate material takeoffs for highly complex projects and support bid strategies.

Collaborate with sales, engineering and design teams, ensure compliance with regulations, mentor estimating staff, and deliver precise quotations to support winning bids.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimation experience in water/wastewater or critical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience performing detailed material quantity takeoffs from construction plan sets.
• Strong understanding of civil and mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of associate estimators and collaborating with sales/design teams.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans to determine project requirements and produce detailed quantity takeoffs.
• Support design-build projects by evaluating materials early and late in design stages.
• Assist in bid strategy development and ensure timely, accurate customer quotations.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors; provide training and knowledge transfer.
