Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Mega Projects Estimator for water/wastewater treatment plants to develop accurate quantity takeoffs for complex projects. You will support bid work and design-build activities, providing material, constructability, and cost insights to guide development.

Collaborating with sales, engineering, and design teams, you will help ensure compliance with regulations and deliver value to customers while adhering to project specifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimation experience in water/wastewater treatment plant construction or critical infrastructure.
• Proven experience performing detailed material quantity takeoffs from construction plan sets.
• Strong understanding of civil and mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Experience with design-build, value engineering, or complex bid strategies.
• Mentoring or reviewing the work of associate estimators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews construction plans, drawings and specs to determine project requirements.
• Produces detailed material quantity takeoffs for critical infrastructure facilities.
• Participates in design-build projects evaluating materials early and late in design.
• Supports bid strategies, prepares quotations, and coordinates with contractors and vendors.
• Provides ongoing training and mentoring to estimating personnel.
