Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is seeking a Mega Projects Estimator for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants in the Critical Infrastructure Group. You will develop accurate quantity takeoffs for complex projects, support bid strategies, and ensure designs meet regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Collaborate with sales, engineering, and design teams, mentor estimators, and provide constructability and cost insights to guide project development and value engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimation experience in water/wastewater treatment plant construction or critical infrastructure projects.
• Experience performing detailed material quantity takeoffs from construction plans.
• Strong understanding of civil and mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of associate estimators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews construction plans to determine project requirements and creates detailed material takeoffs.
• Participates in design-build projects evaluating materials early and late design stages.
• Supports bid strategy development and ensures timely, accurate quotations; conducts scope meetings and knowledge transfer.
