Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a Mega Projects Estimator for water and wastewater infrastructure to develop accurate quantity takeoffs for complex projects. The role supports traditional bid work and design-build, contributing constructability and cost insights early in project development.

Collaboration with sales, engineering, and design teams ensures alignment with specifications and value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimation experience in water/wastewater or critical infrastructure.
• Able to produce detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specs.
• Strong understanding of civil and mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Experience with designbuild and value engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews construction plans, drawings, and specs to determine project requirements and takeoffs.
• Provides early-stage design and cost insights to guide bid strategies and project development.
• Collaborates with sales, engineering, and design teams to support winning bid strategies and customer value.
• Leads coordination with contractors and vendors; communicates via RFIs and meetings to clarify scope.
