Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a Medical Technologist for the Core Lab to perform high-complexity tests and interpret results in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure quality, safety, and adherence to CLIA standards under supervision of laboratory leadership.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, 3 years of related experience, and preference for ASCP MT certification. Evening shift and on-call responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or successful completion of an accredited four-year school of Medical Technology.
• ASCP certification as an MT is preferred.
• Three years of related experience.
• Must qualify as a General Supervisor under CLIA high-complexity testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform various tests in assigned area and interpret results.
• Interprets and correlates test results with patient history and diagnosis.
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies.
• Ensures compliance with laboratory quality and safety policies.
• Maintains records of tests performed using computer systems.
