Job summary

UMass Memorial Health's Core Laboratory in Nashoba Valley, Groton, MA is hiring a Medical Technologist for the Night shift. You will perform and interpret chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests, and mentor lower-level staff while ensuring turnaround times and quality control.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent, and ASCP MT certification preferred. Three years of related experience and CLIA high-complexity supervisor qualification are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests.
• Provide guidance to lower-level staff in test interpretation.
• Ensure test results meet quality and turnaround time standards.
• Maintain equipment and participate in quality control procedures.
• Assist in roll-out of new equipment and procedures.
