Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will design solutions, manage projects, and train technicians.

You will mentor team members, oversee vendors, and support the Operations Maintenance team in improving reliability of MHE and facility systems. Strong PLC and robotics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Flexibility with shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 4+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 4+ years of repairing MHE, automated conveyors, or related mechanical/controls equipment.
• 4+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 4+ years electrical and electronic principles experience.
• 4+ years demonstrating safety standards experience.
• 4+ years troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee material handling equipment (MHE) and facility equipment, such as Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems.
• Lead a team of service technicians and oversee vendors through planned and emergency repairs.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors, and actuators.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used; develop job plans for emergencies.
• Be able to move up to 49lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders, bend, lift as needed.
