Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will design solutions for difficult problems, manage projects, and mentor technicians and contract staff.

In this role you will oversee MHE and facility equipment, train teams, inspect vendors, and install and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and sensors.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• 4+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 4+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or related mechanical/controls equipment.
• 4+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 4+ years electrical and electronic principles.
• 4+ years demonstrating safety standards.
• 4+ years troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee MHE and facility equipment, including Fire Life Safety systems.
• Lead a team of service technicians and oversee vendors for repairs.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, and control components.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used; develop job plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching.
