Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects.

You will train and mentor service technicians and contract technicians, oversee vendors for repairs, and ensure safety and reliability of critical assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 4+ years of preventive maintenance on MHE.
• 4+ years repairing material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyors.
• 4+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 4+ years electrical and electronic principles.
• 4+ years safety standards experience.
• 4+ years troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee material handling equipment (MHE) and facility equipment (e.g., Fire Life Safety systems).
• Lead a team of service technicians and develop training plans; oversee vendors for planned and emergency repairs.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, sensors and actuators.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used; develop job plans for emergencies.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders, bend and reach as required.
