Job summary

Southland Industries seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex HVAC/MEP projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will coordinate multiple projects, mentor engineers, and partner with field staff to deliver flawless results on schedule.

The role emphasizes Lean construction, strong planning, and proactive communication to forecast needs and keep customers satisfied while growing internal capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 7–10+ years experience in mechanical/MEP project management.
• Experience with Design/Build and IPD projects is a plus.
• Lean Construction tools familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with data centers, federal work, industrial or healthcare is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, piping, design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to a single large project or multiple projects under Senior PMs and Project Engineers.
• Plan mechanical projects from start to finish and manage moving parts.
• Lead and mentor younger staff and collaborate with field teams to ensure delivery.
• Manage project milestones, resource requirements, and financials to keep on track.
• Foster long-term customer relationships and embody the company value “People.”
