Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical to oversee the technical design of data center projects, mentor staff, and ensure quality from concept through completion. The role focuses on integrating multiple disciplines, managing scope and budget, and maintaining strong client relations.

The position requires extensive data center experience, PE licensure, and proficiency in Autodesk tools (BIM 360, Revit) and CFD/hydraulic software.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mission critical/data center design concepts.
• Experience with large scale projects and varied stakeholders.
• Knowledge of engineering codes and standards in discipline; basic cross-discipline knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient with Autodesk tools and hydraulic/CFD software.

Responsibilities

• Guide technical design of data center projects and mentor junior staff.
• Lead project engineers and designers; manage scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and maintain client relations.
• Contribute to design guides, memos, and templates.
