Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to design heating, cooling, hydronics, and related systems for Mission Critical facilities and data centers. The role involves BIM modeling with Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP, space planning, and collaboration with project teams.

Ideal candidates will have a PE license, ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree, and 10+ years of related experience, including mission critical projects.

Qualifications

• Large-scale design experience on mission critical facilities.
• Knowledge of computation fluid design, MEP/FP engineering, and reliability studies.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Familiarity with multiple mechanical systems and industry best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
• Security clearance readiness or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for mission critical facilities and data centers.
• Perform space planning to guide mechanical room sizing.
• Develop construction documentation and BIM models using Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP.
• Supervise installation and oversee design documents production by graduates.
• Attend client meetings representing mechanical interests.
• Occasional travel within the US.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
