Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical to guide data center design, mentor staff, and coordinate multi-discipline projects across locations. You will lead technical design efforts, manage scope and budgets, and contribute to client relations and project interviews.

The role emphasizes senior technical leadership, quality assurance, and continuous professional growth within a global design practice.

Qualifications

• Extensive mission critical/data center design experience.
• Experience on large-scale projects with varied stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices and codes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to train others.
• Proven ability to communicate scope, schedule, and budget to clients and teams.
• Proficient in written reports and technical memos.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic modeling and CFD software.

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical design of data center projects as SME and mentor.
• Lead, delegate, and direct work of project engineers and designers.
• Conceptualize, execute, and ensure design quality throughout.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff; support other engineers.
• Participate in business development and client interactions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate design.
