Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical for Mission Critical Facilities to guide data center design. You will mentor project engineers, lead technical discussions, and ensure quality throughout the design process across disciplines in a dynamic environment.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to meet client needs, develop design guides, and stay current with evolving data center technologies. This role offers growth in a global, sustainability-forward practice.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years related industry experience preferred.
• Mission critical / data center experience required
• Registered professional engineer (PE) license or other professional certification based on expertise required.

Responsibilities

• Assist business development in pursuing new projects and respond to RFPs/RFQs.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget within own discipline and coordinate with PM.
• Delegate tasks to engineers and designers; supervise junior staff.
• Ensure QA/QC with technical authority approvals and reviews.
• Maintain strong client relations; articulate requirements and progress clearly.
• Lead technical discussions and adapt designs to meet objectives.
• Coordinate with all disciplines for integrated design.
• Mentor and develop staff; support education and training.
• Engage with the data center engineering community for ongoing growth.
• Identify opportunities to standardize deliverables across centers.
