Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead the development of comprehensive project estimates in a dynamic construction environment. You will coordinate with project teams to shape the estimate plan and drive the total project estimate with a focus on accuracy and risk analysis.

The role requires over a decade of mechanical estimating experience, proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX, and a degree in a construction-related discipline.

Qualifications

• Have grown your experience as a Mechanical Estimator over 10 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment.
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline.
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Are detail oriented and quality focused
• Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates
