Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer for Tucson, AZ to design, develop, document and sustain innovative test environment systems in the Test Equipment Engineering Directorate. This 100% onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance and focuses on building advanced test solutions for Raytheon Missile Defense products.

You will research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF and electro-optical testing, integrating and validating them against

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical/engineering experience in mechanical design.
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• GD&T analysis experience.
• Experience creating mechanical drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems for production testing.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
