Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, document, and maintain complex test environments for Raytheon effector products. This 100% onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret clearance.

You will create mechanical test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optical tests, and build and validate solutions for high accuracy in production settings. You will diagnose issues and propose design improvements to boost performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field; two years of relevant engineering experience.
• Two years of experience in mechanical design and/or production support.
• Two years of experience with 3D CAD modeling tools (CREO / ProE preferred).
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience creating mechanical drawings or engineering documentation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
