Job summary

RTX’s Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer with at least eight years of professional experience to design, develop, document and sustain innovative test environment systems for Raytheon Missile Defense products. This 100% onsite role requires active DoD Secret clearance eligibility and US citizenship.

You will research, plan and implement mechanical test systems across vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF and electro-optical domains,

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM fields and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Minimum eight years of mechanical design and/or production support experience.
• Proficiency with CAD/CREO Parametric for complex design workflows.
• GD&T analysis experience.
• Experience creating mechanical drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems for production testing environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
