Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping design.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including hydronics, steam, compressed air, and refrigeration.
• Proficient with mechanical design, permitting, and project work.
• Experience with building and infrastructure planning, design, and management.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and QA/QC practices.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and clients on projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight by collecting and analyzing site data, blueprints, and reports for project development.
• Apply high-level mechanical engineering techniques for concept to construction design.
• Conduct investigations of site conditions and determine conformance with permits and standards.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates; manage phasing and safety plans.
• Lead mechanical design and construction management for rehab, new builds, and expansions.
• Guide advanced technologies and modeling techniques for proper equipment function.
• Assist with reviews of permit documents, design plans, and contracts.
• Meet with stakeholders to discuss engineering challenges and programs.
• Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Mentor staff and stay current with industry best practices.
