WSP USA seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Facilities Division, supporting Boise, ID; Madison, WI; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Overland Park, KS and other locations. Open to remote for the right candidate.

The role focuses on design for Food & Beverage, Federal, and Industrial facilities, delivering high-performing projects and responsible design. You will lead complex design efforts, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage budgets, schedules, and client relations across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping design.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and theory including hydronics, steam, and gas.
• Proficiency with design software (AutoCAD, CAM).
• Experience with project management and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight collecting and analyzing data from sites, blueprints, and reports for project development and construction.
• Apply advanced mechanical engineering techniques for design, procurement, and operation.
• Lead investigations of site conditions to ensure compliance with codes and permits.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates with coordination across disciplines.
• Manage mechanical design and construction on projects from inception to completion, including rehab and new builds.
• Guide implementation of advanced technologies and modeling techniques for proper system installation.
