Job summary

Terrestrial Energy Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for IMSR reactor projects. You will prepare calculations, engage in design reviews, and coordinate with layout teams and external vendors to ensure robust 3D CAD and deliverables.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of design experience in nuclear environments, PE certification or eligibility, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE Certification or eligible to obtain PE Certification.
• Minimum 8 years of design experience for mechanical systems, preferably nuclear.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculations, analyses and design summaries for mechanical systems.
• Participate in design reviews and interface with multiple disciplines.
• Coordinate with layout and external vendors for 3D CAD and vendor deliverables.
• Provide input on schedules, costs and project risks; mentor junior staff.
