Job summary

Terrestrial Energy Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical engineering function within a dynamic matrix organization.

This senior role will oversee Mechanical Engineering, Stress Analysis, CAD Design, and Thermal Hydraulic groups to deliver innovative solutions for the IMSR project. You will champion engineering excellence, establish standards aligned with ASME/CSA and regulatory requirements, drive workforce planning and talent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineering license (P.Eng.) or equivalent.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 5+ years in leadership overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
• Nuclear industry or other highly regulated sectors experience.
• Experience with matrix organizational structures.
• Experience managing resources across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering staff across multiple disciplines.
• Establish engineering standards and QA processes aligned with ASME/CSA and regulatory requirements.
• Plan workforce, recruit, and retain talent.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources across programs.
• Manage performance reviews and staff development.
• Lead design reviews and interface with regulators, customers, and industry partners.
• Promote safety culture and QA adherence.
