Job summary

Terrestrial Energy, a US nuclear energy company, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead mechanical engineering, stress analysis, CAD design, and thermal-hydraulic groups within a matrix organization. The role emphasizes standards, QA, and regulatory readiness for IMSR deployment.

You will build and manage a world-class team, drive engineering excellence, and collaborate with regulators, customers, and partners to advance the IMSR program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• P.Eng. license or equivalent professional registration.
• Minimum 10 years in progressive engineering roles with leadership exposure.
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated sectors and matrix organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering, stress analysis, CAD design, and thermal-hydraulic groups.
• Establish engineering standards and QA practices compliant with ASME, CSA, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and staff development.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure engineering deliverables meet quality and project needs.
• Collaborate with project managers and other leaders to allocate resources and resolve priorities.
