Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior MRB Mechanical Engineer to support the Air Dominance and Strike MRB Team. You will evaluate nonconforming hardware, disposition parts, and ensure airworthiness across Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms.

You will lead root-cause analyses, perform structural and mechanical analyses, review CAD/GD&T, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to keep production safe and on schedule.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years mechanical engineering experience in production, depot, or maintenance environments.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and strong GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to perform structural and mechanical analysis using hand calculations and FEA tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods for mechanical hardware.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for disposition and repair docs.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering for all mechanical subsystems, including propulsion, hydraulic, fuel, landing gear, and integration.
• Evaluate nonconforming hardware and determine dispositions to restore airworthiness and function.
• Generate traceable MRB dispositions with rework instructions and repair solutions.
• Review CAD models, drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups to assess fit and manufacturability impacts.
• Identify acceptable alternate components for obsolete parts.
• Perform structural and mechanical analysis (stress, deflection, fatigue) using hand calculations and FEA tools.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for recurring non-conformances and production escapes.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve build issues.
• Build prototypes and test fixtures; analyze failures and feed learnings back into design.
• Travel to vendor, production, and test sites as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on MRB discipline.
