Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the Air Dominance and Strike MRB Mechanical Engineering Team. You will supervise sustainment engineers, evaluate nonconforming hardware, and approve dispositions for fielded and production systems.

You will mentor engineers, drive RCCA initiatives, and partner across Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to maintain high production tempo. US Secret clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years mechanical engineering experience in production/depot/maintenance environments.
• 2+ years leading or managing engineers.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and GD&T.
• Ability to perform structural and mechanical analysis (stress/deflection) and FEA tools.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of mechanical sustainment engineers responsible for evaluating nonconforming mechanical hardware and determining dispositions on fielded and in-production Group 5 air vehicles.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers on the team, including MRB signature/delegated authority path.
• Set technical standards and review complex dispositions and repairs for MRB and cross-functional interfaces.
• Own team workload and prioritization to keep production flowing.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain leadership to resolve blockers and align priorities.
• Drive RCCA programs to reduce recurring nonconformances and production escapes.
• Build and improve MRB processes, tools, and standard work as production scales.
• Report on team throughput and risk to leadership.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Travel to vendor, production, and test sites as needed.
