Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior MRB Mechanical Engineer for the Air Dominance and Strike MRB team. You will support Group 5 air vehicles and missile platforms, evaluating nonconforming hardware and generating dispositions to restore airworthiness. Lead root cause analysis, coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to keep production safe and on schedule.

Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience including nonconformances and dispositioning hardware in production, depot, or maintenance.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (CATIA, Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks) and GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to perform structural and mechanical analysis (stress, deflection, fatigue) using hand calculations and FEA tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN).
• Understanding of manufacturing methods relevant to mechanical hardware (machining, sheet metal, fasteners, actuation, 3D printing).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for disposition and repair documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Manufacturing and Engineering for Mechanical Subsystems (propulsion, hydraulics, fuel, landing gear, system integration).
• Evaluate nonconforming hardware on fielded/in-production vehicles and determine dispositions to restore airworthiness.
• Create traceable MRB dispositions with rework instructions and repair solutions.
• Interpret CAD models, drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups for fit and manufacturability impacts.
• Identify acceptable alternate components for obsolete parts.
• Perform structural/mechanical analysis using hand calculations and FEA to substantiate dispositions.
