Qualifikationen

• BS in mechanical engineering required.
• 7+ years designing HVAC systems for institutional/commercial buildings.
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating across disciplines.
• PE license preferred.

Aufgaben

• Run mechanical design from feasibility studies through construction documents and administration.
• Design central plants and their distribution: hot water, steam, chilled water, heat pumps, and energy systems.
• Design air-side systems including air handling, energy recovery, radiant heating/cooling, and precise comfort control.
• Build and check load calculations and whole-building energy models; compare life-cycle costs.
• Write control sequences and set building automation strategy for projects.
• Lead decarbonization and electrification studies for campuses and institutions.
• Carry mechanical scope on projects pursuing LEED, Passive House, Living Building, or WELL certification.
• Review work of engineers and designers; mentor their development.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, utilities, and contractors; represent mechanical in meetings.
