Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design on large projects, focusing on central plant and campus energy work. The role is hybrid and can sit in Greater Boston, central New Hampshire, or southern Maine, with travel to client sites.

You will design heating/cooling plants, air-side systems, energy models, and life-cycle cost analyses, collaborating with architects, owners, and contractors to deliver optimized solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing HVAC systems for institutional and commercial buildings.
• Experience leading project teams on complex central plant and energy projects.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from feasibility through construction administration.
• Design central plants, hot water, steam, chilled water, geothermal and heat pumps.
• Design air-side systems with energy recovery and humidity control.
• Develop load calculations and energy models; compare lifecycle costs.
• Write control sequences and BAS strategies for projects.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, utilities and contractors.
