Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced HVAC design leader to join a multi-disciplinary team in the United States. You will oversee complex ductwork, piping, and equipment selection for large educational, healthcare, corporate, and science/tech projects under licensed engineer guidance.

You will mentor staff, participate in QAQC, and ensure project schedules, budgets, and client expectations are met. Remote work options are available along with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from ABET-accredited program required.
• Minimum 10 years of related design experience in HVAC/mechanical systems.
• PE license in the United States preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes and building standards.
• Ability to lead teams and work with clients independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and direct complex HVAC systems for large buildings, with BIM modeling.
• Lead and mentor designers; participate in performance reviews.
• Coordinate with PMs and clients to meet schedules and budgets.
• Review shop drawings for compliance and quality control.
• Conduct site visits and contribute to value engineering sessions.
• Represent the firm in meetings and business development activities.
