Job summary

CannonDesign in the United States is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design of HVAC systems for large educational, healthcare, corporate and science facilities. You will steer complex ductwork and equipment selection, mentor designers, and participate in QAQC and client meetings.

This role requires ABET-accredited degree, a US PE preferred, LEED preferred, and strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes; expertise in Revit and energy modeling is essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 10+ years of related experience required.
• Current PE in the United States preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes.
• Experience in HVAC design and Revit modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex HVAC design for large buildings and mentor team.
• Manage project schedules and budgets with Project Manager.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with the design team.
• Perform Revit/BIM modeling from schematic to construction.
• Interface with clients and participate in Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings.
• Contribute to QAQC and lead value engineering sessions.
• Oversee field observations and respond to RFIs.
