Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a senior HVAC engineer with leadership to design complex ductwork, piping, and equipment for large facilities. The role requires independent work across mechanical disciplines and guidance to junior staff.

Candidates should hold a US PE license; LEED accreditation is preferred, with strong Life Safety Codes knowledge. You will engage with clients, lead design reviews, and contribute to value engineering efforts while managing project budgets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience required.
• PE license in the United States required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes.
• Ability to work independently in all mechanical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems for large buildings; lead technical direction.
• Oversee designers and engineers; provide performance reviews.
• Participate in QA/QC and reviews of drawings and specs.
• Interface with clients and project teams; attend key meetings.
• Lead or participate in value engineering and process improvements.
• Manage project planning, budgets, and scheduling.
